Anniversary the Third

Because our anniversary fell on a Sunday, we celebrated on Aug 6th. After dropping our babies off at Lindsy and Ben Hartsock's home, we caught the Green Line of the El and headed downtown. After connecting to the Red Line, we safely made it to the John Hancock building.

A few weeks ago, we made reservations to eat at the restaurant that is on the 95th floor of this building. Along with the spectacular food, we were rewarded with a terrific view!

You can't see them really well, but some of these tall apartment buildings have swimming pools on the tops of them. We found that to be pretty cool!

After dinner, we had some time to kill before our show. We walked down Michigan Ave (the heart of the city) and enjoyed the shops, the street performers and the interesting artwork--the newest being a very tall statue of the famous Marilyn Monroe pose.
One of the sets of street performers were 3 saxophonists and 2 trombonists playing some great jazz music. We kind of went off on the landing of the nearby building and did some west coast swing to "Isn't She Lovely". I'm pretty sure the only people who saw it were the performers and I hope they enjoyed it.

This was my first experience with Broadway and I LOVED it! I was especially excited because Belle is my favorite princess. :D

After accidentally getting on the Brown Line, we were able to get off and take the El going the other direction, which took us around the entire Chicago Loop. It did take an extra 45 minutes to get home, but it made for a good story, right?

I feel so blessed to be loved by Steve! He takes such good care of me and our sweet children. I love that he supports me in the things that I want to do and he works hard to make sure that we can live comfortably. Thank you Steve for these wonderful 3 years!
