All Play and No Work

We've had a lot of fun in the last two weeks and we've also had a lot of 'home-time' since its been ridiculously hot outside.
Kelsey is about 50/50 with baths. Sometimes she loves them, other times she screams the whole time.
I'm trying to make sure Josh isn't our little "left out" child now that we have another baby. :)

Two weeks ago, Emily Tate went home to visit with her family. Before she left, we had them over for dinner. Somehow, we always get these babies switched when we're playing.

Brim is working on the walking thing. I sure hope he hasn't learned while they are gone!

This is the only time I've tried putting them in to the bath together. Here is a "before Josh splashed Kelsey" picture.

Here's the after picture:

On July 20 (so far this was the hottest day of the summer!), the kids and I went to the beach with Beth and Ellie Dickson. We had a good time, but it was SO hot! I was glad that Beth lent me her umbrella so we could keep the sun off of Kelsey!

A week and a half ago, the Salmon's moved so we helped by watching two of their kids (David and Lydia), lending Steve out to help with the furniture, and then having them over for dinner so that they wouldn't have to find their kitchen right away. We're looking forward to getting to know them better!

Here are a few pictures of us with our babies:

When Kelsey isn't occupying the bouncer, Josh tends to fill it up with toys. He actually got every one of those blocks to balance in the bouncer.

We decided that we need to get out of the city at least once a month and explore nearby parks and stay away from the traffic. July's excursion took us to Moraine Hills State Park just north and west of the city. It was really beautiful out there and very peaceful! We enjoyed a tasty lunch, played on the swingsets, caught a frog and pointed out a few different types of birds to Josh.

Saturday evening, Ellie Dickson came to play while her parents moved into the Salmon's former apartment. Josh tends to scare younger kids because he is so intense, but here he was really enjoying her little headpiece.

Kelsey had to cry for a few minutes while I got lunch today. When I came back into the room, she was out cold.

Kelsey is getting great at holding her head up!

I love that picture of Josh and Steve. Josh is such a handsome little man!

Zachary keeps asking if Kelsey is Kate, too (just like Josh asks if Kate is Kelsey). They must look alike!

Love your outings pictures!
